Chogokin

Chogokin means "Super Alloy" which is what some of the best robot toys in Japan are made of. It's the 30th anniversary of "Chogokin" toys and I visited the LaForet Museum in Harajuku to see the exhibition of these super alloy robot toys.

The elevators were decorated with silhouettes of Great Mazinger, Raideen and Robocon. Awesome! They wouldn't let me take pictures inside the exhibition. Damn! Some really cool toys I can't show you.

Some of the toys made specially for the show. Great Mazinger, Black Raideen and Dancougar. The robot arm pen was orginally sold in 1977 and was reissued specially for this event. I actually had one as a kid!!

Movable Type

Hi there! So I decided today that I would take a look at MovableType, the Blog software that everyone uses. Well, a few hours later I'm redoing my entire site. MT is fantastic! I've moved all my MySQL entries into MT already.

Carwash

I took my car to the carwash on this beautiful April day.

It's actually the parking lot at the Ooi horse race track which is a carwash on days when there are no races.

New Flat

category: personal

Well, I moved to my new but smaller place.

The building is brand new. It has a nice view of a park and a really big roof balcony. Maybe I'll make a small beer garden.

New mansions these days come with fiber-optic 100mbps internet. Can you see the lan port in the photo on left? Although its a shared line with the 30 other people who live in the building, its still very fast, and FREE!

The best part is the indoor garage where I can keep my baby out of the rain.
